ONGC to take Rs 6k cr hit as gas price crash

The price of natural gas produced from domestic fields crashed to their lowest at $1.79 per unit (million British thermal unit or mBtu) from $2.39 on Wednesday, clouding future ability of domestic producers such as ONGC and OIL to continue supplies but setting the stage for cheaper CNG and PNG for consumers.
