India’s Covid active cases set to top 5 lakh

With rising numbers, active cases were set to cross the 5-lakh mark, and stood at over 4,97,000 on Monday, as per data collated from state governments. The overall caseload had risen to 14,81,301, while recoveries had galloped to over 9.5 lakh. The death toll crossed 33,000 and stood at 33,410 by day’s end.
