Army’s ‘secret’ Tibetan force has deep Odisha roots

Monday’s funeral of Special Frontier Force (SFF) soldier Nyima Tenzin — who reportedly died after stepping on a landmine during the Indian forces’ operation to secure the heights in Ladakh’s Chushul sector on August 30 — has shone a light on the existence of this covert force, comprising Tibetans drawn primarily from the numerous refugee settlement camps across the country.
