A day after taking oath, Basavaraj Bommai made it clear that he won’t be a rubber-stamp chief minister, while his predecessor, BS Yediyurappa, said that he won’t interfere in the selection of new cabinet members or administration. Despite these statements, some senior BJP functionaries are concerned that two power centres may emerge, leading to wrangling and policy delays.
