50 yrs of 1971 war: ‘IAF hunted down Pak tanks’

“Longewala offensive by Pakistan was a misadventure launched by Pakistan army without coordinated planning wherein it suffered greatest losses without a fight and we won the day. Our aircraft hunted enemy tanks like sitting ducks. However, a great credit goes to Brigadier Kuldip Singh Chandpuri, then a major, and his men for holding the post against heavy onslaught of enemy fire till the arrival of the Indian Air Force,” says Colonel Ajmer Singh Grewal (retd).
