Earth to cross critical temp rise limit in next 20 years: UN report

At a time when the world is making efforts to keep the global average temperature rise within 1.5 degree Celsius by the end of the century, the UN’s Intergovernmental panel on climate change (IPCC) on Monday dropped a kind of bombshell in its new report, projecting that the global temperature is expected to reach or exceed 1.5°C of warming over the next 20 years under all scenarios.
