The Nagpur bench of Bombay high court has ruled that throwing a chit at a married woman for professing love amounts to outraging her modesty. It slapped Rs 90,000 fine on the 54-year-old accused from Akola, of which Rs 85,000 is to be paid to the survivor as compensation.
