UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s announcement that liquor and meat will be banned in Mathura has left sellers in the city in a state of panic. Thousands depend on these and their allied sectors for their livelihoods and, so far, there is no rehabilitation plan in place. Nor is there a roadmap for the ban.
