When Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani quit his post on Sunday, he became the 14th CM to resign without completing a full term. Bhupendra Patel took over as the 17th Gujarat chief minister (CM) on Monday. So far, out of the 16 former CMs, only two – Madhavsinh Solanki and Narendra Modi – could complete their full term of five years. Of these 16 former CMs again, two others – Hitendra Kanaiyalal Desai of Congress (O) and Vijay Rupani – completed five years, though in different terms.
