China on Tuesday hit out at the upcoming first-ever Quad summit to be hosted by US President Joe Biden on September 24, saying the formation of “cliques” targeting other countries has “no future”. A Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said, China believes any regional cooperation framework should go be conducive to mutual trust and cooperation between the regional countries and not target any third party or harm their interests.”
