In a major jolt to Congress ahead of the crucial 2022 assembly polls, former chief minister and Navelim MLA Luizinho Faleiro on Monday resigned as Congress MLA. He submitted his resignation to Goa Legislative Assembly speaker Rajesh Patnekar and is likely to join Trinamool Congress (TMC).
