As in 2017, the Congress is once again putting its best foot forward ahead of the 2022 Uttar Pradesh (UP) assembly election. If it was Rahul Gandhi all the way in 2017, it is his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra this time who is leading the party’s campaign from the front. Priyanka seems to be following the template set by Rahul in the 2017 UP and Gujarat assembly elections and the subsequent polls. Though Rahul has largely been unsuccessful in turning around the fortunes of the Congress party, Priyanka’s charisma is on test for the very first time.
